Senior Software Engineer – Security Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the development and ownership of backend services and APIs for the IR-1 platform, utilizing TypeScript/Next.js.

• Designing and managing high-throughput systems for the ingestion, classification, and processing of forensic and log data.

• Writing and maintaining performance-critical backend services in Go, including parsers for binary/semi-structured data and tools for log normalization.

• Implementing effective bulk-indexing strategies into OpenSearch, emphasizing schema design, query optimization, data retention, and quality.

• Ensuring all systems maintain high throughput, reliability, and operability.

• Managing and enhancing the AWS response stack which includes ECS Fargate task definitions, versioned S3 storage, IAM, OpenSearch sizing, and EC2 file servers.

• Automating the generation of host data collection configurations tailored to the specific scope of each case.

• Collaborating closely with end-users to understand their workflows, eliminate manual processes, and refine solutions to meet their actual needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience (or 3–5 years if demonstrating strong capabilities across the stack and a clear motivation for the work).

• Strong instincts in backend systems, with comfort in dealing with structured and semi-structured event data, schema design, bulk ingestion patterns, and the ability to reason about throughput, reliability, and security under load.

• Practical experience with AWS services — including ECS, S3, IAM, RDS, and Secrets Manager.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform or OpenTofu.

• Proficiency in Golang for backend services, or equivalent expertise in another systems-level programming language.

• Strong knowledge of TypeScript with hands-on production experience in Node.js, Next.js, or a similar server-side TypeScript framework.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
