This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Collaborate with fellow Nava engineers to design, review, and develop high-quality software.
• Partner with government entities and other contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems as well as enhance existing ones.
• Operate in an agile framework to effectively deliver new features that align with user needs.
• Develop tools and processes aimed at automating our development, testing, and production workflows.
• Create and evaluate technical documentation while conducting code reviews.
• Engage in an on-call rotation to support production systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Participate in recruitment activities such as providing referrals, conducting interviews, and joining interview debriefs as necessary.
• Proficient in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript.
• Minimum of 7 years of full-stack engineering experience contributing to development initiatives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
• Significant experience with web-based systems, including both front-end and back-end development.
• Expertise in designing and implementing application architectures and code that is scalable, reliable, and highly performant.
• Self-motivated and capable of working with little oversight.
• Experience with large-scale applications and systems.
• Possess an adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive attitude.
• Ability to think holistically about engineering challenges.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and architecture.
• Proven track record of developing well-crafted software.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
• Familiarity with contemporary web development frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Prior experience as a software engineer.
