Senior Software Engineer, Platform Tooling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop AI-powered tools and services that improve engineering workflows, including code generation, test automation, documentation, and knowledge discovery.

• Integrate intelligent automation into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) through connections with CI/CD systems, IDEs, code review tools, and various developer platforms.

• Work closely with senior engineers and technical leaders to explore new AI technologies and evaluate their effects across teams.

• Promote best practices in AI-assisted development and offer resources to facilitate internal adoption.

• Guide engineers on utilizing AI, software architecture, and automation strategies to enhance overall team capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development utilizing object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java, with extensive knowledge of system design and engineering best practices.

• Significant experience in developing developer-facing tools or working on internal platforms aimed at enhancing productivity and workflow.

• Practical experience incorporating AI into software engineering tasks, such as leveraging LLMs for code support, automated documentation, or intelligent testing.

• Expertise in CI/CD tools, cloud-native environments, and developer infrastructure.

• A strong enthusiasm for enhancing developer efficiency through smart automation and user-friendly design.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor engineers through design, implementation, and optimization processes.
