Senior Software Engineer – Platform, MLOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Advocate for an exceptional developer experience by creating the internal platform and tools that AI engineers at our company can rely on and trust.

• Design intuitive dashboards, user-friendly CLI tools, clean APIs, and seamless automation.

• Build accessible internal platform interfaces—such as dashboards, model registries, and experiment trackers—using React and Next.js.

• Architect and maintain robust backend services and APIs utilizing Python.

• Develop and enhance thoughtful automation for model deployment, rollbacks, and scaling workflows through scripts, APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Integrate monitoring and observability tools (such as Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, and LangSmith) directly into the platform.

• Compose comprehensive testing, evaluation, and validation logic for components of the machine learning pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience refining skills in full-stack engineering.

• Strong proficiency in Python, along with practical experience in developing reliable backend services and clean REST APIs.

• A true passion for creating responsive dashboards and internal tools using TypeScript and React.

• Experience in managing and caring for machine learning applications within a live production environment.

• Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and an understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proven track record of collaborating closely with data or machine learning engineering teams, valuing and learning from diverse technical perspectives.

• A solid foundational knowledge of databases, job queuing systems, and asynchronous workflows.

• An innate curiosity and ease when tackling open-ended or ambiguous technical challenges, with a knack for translating abstract concepts into actionable, clear steps.
