
Senior Software Engineer – Next.js, TypeScript, Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Take full ownership and manage the entire Next.js codebase of the company.
• Design, develop, and deliver top-notch product features across both frontend and backend.
• Spearhead the technical strategy for the company's mobile application using React Native with Expo, Capacitor, or other suitable approaches.
• Produce production-ready applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Collaborate closely with the founder and the UI/UX designer to craft intuitive and refined user experiences.
• Construct and enhance marketplace workflows, including rentals, payments, notifications, and logistics.
• Develop new functionalities related to garment care, dry-cleaning processes, inventory condition tracking, and operational workflows.
• Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL databases alongside backend services.
• Ensure application quality through effective testing strategies, debugging, and performance enhancements.
• Engage in architectural decisions and suggest optimal technical solutions for product advancement.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and assist in translating business ideas into product features.
• Work independently while upholding high engineering standards and consistently delivering results.
• Over 5 years of experience in building modern web applications.
• Strong proficiency in **Next.js**, **React**, **TypeScript**, and contemporary JavaScript development.
• Solid experience in backend development.
• Extensive experience with **PostgreSQL** or other relational databases.
• Proven experience managing production systems and live databases.
• Experience in developing and publishing mobile applications using **React Native (Expo)**, **Capacitor**, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with releasing applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Strong grasp of software architecture and scalable application design.
• Experience in closely collaborating with product designers and translating Figma designs into refined user experiences.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices in production-quality engineering.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with founders and non-technical stakeholders.
• Availability to work primarily during **New York (Eastern Time)** business hours.
• Nice to Have
• Experience in building marketplace platforms.
• Background in e-commerce products.
• Previous experience in **Fashion Retail**, **Fashion Technology**, or **Fashion E-commerce** is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with **Stripe Connect**, including marketplace payments, escrow flows, manual capture, and off-session charging.
