This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• As a Senior Software Engineer on Rula’s MarTech team, you will develop and integrate marketing technology stacks to foster growth across our Patient, Provider, and Partner sectors.
• You will play a vital role in an independent, cross-functional team that emphasizes high ownership, rapid iteration, and technical excellence.
• Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with our Marketing, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams on complex challenges that influence how campaigns are launched and assessed.
• This position presents a unique opportunity to spearhead critical technical initiatives and cultivate an AI-centered engineering culture while creating products that have a significant human impact.
• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, with a demonstrated history of building and scaling web applications in a production environment.
• Proven ability to lead high-priority technical projects from inception to completion, including the capability to navigate trade-offs and align stakeholders effectively.
• A strong passion for promoting a high-performing engineering culture through code reviews, technical documentation, and mentoring fellow engineers.
• Extensive knowledge of modern full-stack technologies—preferably TypeScript, React, and Node.js—along with a solid understanding of functional and object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency in utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to enhance delivery speed, automate boilerplate, and improve code quality.
• Proven capability to design and implement complex, distributed systems that are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
