This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Contribute to the creation of Python and JavaScript libraries (such as moz-l10n) and tools that enhance Mozilla’s localization infrastructure.
• Enhance localization and internationalization within the Firefox codebase to ensure features are more adaptable and accessible across various languages and regions.
• Collaborate with engineers and program managers to design and implement new features in Pontoon.
• Engage with our community of volunteer developers and localizers to support and guide Mozilla’s localization initiatives.
• Work effectively with team members and internal clients across different regions and time zones.
• Strong background in developing and maintaining libraries and tools using Python and JavaScript.
• Solid knowledge of web technologies, APIs, and contemporary development workflows.
• Experience with open source development practices and collaboration within communities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team setting, across various time zones and disciplines.
• Exceptional communication skills, focusing on clarity and interaction across technical and non-technical roles.
• Professional proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
