Senior Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop essential components of the financial exchange platform.

• Leverage your expertise by providing insights on product enhancements.

• Design, create, implement, and maintain phases, code, and software for Java applications.

• Ensure the product design aligns with the security, resilience, and confidentiality requirements of users.

• Perform software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging activities.

• Translate requirements into specifications and identify issues in both production and non-production applications.

• Create documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Mentor and coach fellow development team members, enhancing the collective knowledge and skills of the group.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Over 8 years of relevant professional experience.

• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals (databases, concurrency, security, networking).

• Proven experience in software engineering with Java or other JVM-based languages.

• Demonstrated participation in a development team that successfully delivered a large-scale product.

• Familiarity with relational database management systems, message queues, and Public Key Infrastructure.

• Experience with REST APIs.

• Proficient in deploying and managing services in containerized environments, including Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.

• Desirable: Experience with Canton/Daml or other technologies related to distributed transactions or ledgers.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Capacity to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
