Senior Software Engineer in Test – f/m/d/x

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and develop automated testing frameworks for distributed microservice architectures.

• Create and uphold integration, end-to-end, and regression testing pipelines.

• Ensure that intricate workflows, including pricing calculations, product configurations, and document generation, function correctly across diverse scenarios.

• Work alongside engineers to enhance the testability, observability, and resilience of services.

• Develop tools that assist engineers in validating system behavior early during the development phase.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid and dependable feedback loops.

• Investigate production challenges and contribute to fortifying system reliability.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance test generation, debugging, and development workflows.

• Foster engineering practices where quality and automation are collective responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing automated testing systems for complex applications.

• Comfortable working with distributed systems and microservice architectures.

• Strong programming capabilities (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Python, or similar).

• Proven experience in designing integration, end-to-end, and regression testing strategies.

• Experience in building or maintaining test automation frameworks.

• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.

• A keen interest in exploring complex system behavior and enhancing reliability.

• A strong emphasis on system correctness, transparency, and long-term maintainability.

• A practical approach to employing AI tools to expedite engineering workflows while ensuring complete ownership of system correctness.

• Excellent communication skills paired with a collaborative attitude when engaging with engineers, product teams, and platform teams.
