This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +13 more states.
• Take the lead in managing large and intricate projects from initial concept through to delivery, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and engineering teams across various pods.
• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code throughout the entire technology stack, emphasizing security, scalability, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Facilitate technical discussions with Product and Design teams to create solutions that align with business goals and long-term technical strategies.
• Generate and upkeep detailed technical documentation, which includes system architecture designs, API contracts, and technical roadmaps.
• Oversee code reviews and offer technical direction to engineers from different teams, ensuring compliance with engineering best practices and architectural patterns.
• Establish, refine, and advocate for coding standards, best practices, and design principles throughout the engineering organization.
• Actively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system reliability challenges, implementing solutions that enhance DORA metrics.
• Investigate and assess emerging technologies, providing informed recommendations for their adoption and integration into the platform.
• Function as a technical mentor and force multiplier for engineers across various teams, nurturing a culture of continuous learning, quality, and technical excellence.
• Facilitate and steer architectural discussions, contributing to strategic technical roadmaps and the evolution of the platform.
• Tackle highly complex technical challenges relating to performance, scalability, security, and system design across multiple domains.
• Collaborate closely with Product teams to design features from conception to production, incorporating instrumentation, observability, monitoring, and iterative enhancement based on customer feedback and usage patterns.
• Initiate improvements in developer experience, including enhancements in tooling, CI/CD optimization, infrastructure upgrades, and onboarding processes.
• Engage with stakeholders, C-suite executives, and cross-functional teams to ensure engineering solutions provide exceptional business value and user experience.
• Advocate for the release of small, complete vertical slices—supported by trunk-based development and feature flags—rather than large, risky releases.
• Lead incident response initiatives and promote a culture of accountability, shared ownership, and continuous improvement through participation in incident reviews and reliability initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Seven or more years of full stack software development experience in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
• Expertise in modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Strong experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
• Solid back-end/API experience using .NET Core.
• Profound understanding of SQL databases and best practices in data modeling.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and methodologies.
• A thorough understanding of computer science principles.
