Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• As part of a cross-functional, stream-aligned team, you will collaborate closely with the engineering manager, product manager, designer, and up to 4-5 other engineers, including a tech lead.

• Employing agile software development methodologies and a product-oriented mindset, you will work as a team to plan, develop, and maintain software that delights our customers.

• You should be self-driven and enthusiastic, thriving in a dynamic environment with a strong inclination towards taking initiative.

• Engage with teams outside of product engineering, closely interacting with customers to understand their needs.

• Be comfortable working across all major cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• With a You Build It, You Run It philosophy, you will gain in-depth knowledge of our products from code commit to production operations.

• Support production systems utilizing monitoring tools such as Datadog.

• Aim for stable system observability.

• Advocate for our core principles, nurture a growth mindset by participating in communities, and contribute to enhancing our engineering culture.

• Challenge the status quo, pushing the boundaries to ensure that our efforts and creations deliver high value and impact for our users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound understanding of modern web applications.

• Experience in developing applications using Typescript/Javascript and utilizing NoSQL databases.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture.

• Experience with AWS (Serverless) and/or GCP.

• Recognize the significance of integrating quality into code through test automation.

• Have experience supporting applications in production, demonstrating good observability practices in a full stack environment (e.g., RUM, Tracing).

• Have collaborated in an environment with strong engineering practices and understand what constitutes good engineering.

• Be invested in the product life cycle and focused on delivering customer value.

• Comprehend the importance of continuous, iterative improvement through data-driven decision-making and a culture of feedback.
