This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and develop high-quality APIs and services for our subscribers and payment infrastructure—creating experiences that are secure, intuitive, and genuinely beneficial.
• Collaborate with AI (Claude Code) as a key partner—your main workflow involves coordinating agents to create specifications, generate code and tests, validate outcomes, and conduct reviews.
• Aid in defining and formalizing AI-Native engineering practices for the Growth team, producing playbooks that the wider organization can adopt.
• Work across the entire stack as necessary—delivering polished, efficient, and reliable experiences to millions of users.
• Engage closely with product managers and designers to transform intricate user challenges into elegant, scalable engineering solutions.
• Participate in architectural decision-making, code reviews, and foster a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
• Take part in on-call rotation and incident response duties.
• Utilize agentic workflows to significantly enhance the delivery of strong outcomes—accelerating progress without compromising quality.
• Mentor team members and contribute to team processes, technical standards, and help advance the team’s AI-native engineering practices.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and accessibility across the features you oversee.
• Over 6 years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot (this is our primary technology stack).
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka or similar distributed streaming platforms.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles: consistency, fault tolerance, replication, and data durability.
• Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerized deployments.
• Extensive user of agentic workflows, understands the research-plan-implement cycle but does not outsource critical thinking to agents.
