Senior Software Engineer, Identity and Access Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the establishment of a secure access framework at Owner by designing and enhancing the authentication and authorization systems that support every product interface across the platform.

• Take complete ownership of critical authentication infrastructure from start to finish — participate in the development of systems for login, session management, token handling, service-to-service authentication, account security, and access enforcement.

• Enhance reliability and observability — equip authentication services with the necessary alerting, dashboards, and runbooks to swiftly identify issues and maintain the health of essential access flows.

• Elevate security standards — recognize potential risks, enhance controls, and ensure that authentication and authorization systems are thoughtfully designed from the outset rather than being retrofitted.

• Utilize AI tools for increased efficiency — employ AI resources to expedite your tasks, from coding and code reviews to solution exploration and automation of routine activities.

• Assist in cultivating a strong team — conduct candidate interviews, provide technical insights, and elevate the standards for our development practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing and delivering production backend systems.

• Proficiency in Typescript or Javascript.

• Practical experience in creating authentication, authorization, identity, permissions, security, or related platform infrastructure.

• In-depth knowledge of API design, distributed systems, databases, and operational reliability.

• A strong sense of ownership and urgency.
