Senior Software Engineer, GTM Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and deliver applications that enhance Vanta's go-to-market (GTM) strategies: from AI-driven workflows that automate prospecting and account research to tools that boost representative productivity and pipeline speed.

• Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle: prototype, iterate, launch, and maintain solutions that address real-world challenges for customers and internal processes.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Success, and Revenue Operations to pinpoint high-impact opportunities, comprehend user needs, and design solutions accordingly.

• Utilize AI and contemporary technologies in innovative ways to systematize and automate GTM workflows (such as pipeline generation, deal preparation, renewal speed, scoring, and routing).

• Create, develop, and sustain internal-facing web applications and AI-driven agents by leveraging a combination of frameworks, APIs, and programming languages (Python, TypeScript, SQL).

• Deliver dependable, maintainable systems with comprehensive technical documentation, monitoring, and testing frameworks to guarantee adoption and visibility.

• Convert insights from customer interactions into valuable feedback for product and research teams to guide broader product development efforts.

• Assess and integrate new technologies, orchestration tools, and AI platforms with a clear perspective on "build vs. buy".

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on developing and deploying full-stack applications.

• Previous experience as a founder or early engineer at a startup (0–50 employees): you have constructed products from inception, navigated uncertainty, and taken ownership of outcomes in a dynamic, resource-limited setting.

• Strong technical skill set: expertise in modern programming languages (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript), familiarity with web frameworks (React, Node.js), and robust SQL capabilities.

• Knowledge of how AI and automation can enhance business workflows: experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or workflow automation tools is a significant advantage.

• Experience collaborating closely with non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Customer Success) to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver impactful solutions.

• Product-oriented mindset: you prioritize user experience, business outcomes, and creating systems that users enjoy, rather than solely focusing on technical sophistication.

• Proven ability to transition swiftly from prototype to production, make effective trade-offs, and implement solutions incrementally.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical decisions to business stakeholders and executive leadership.

• Familiarity with GTM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, workflow automation platforms like Workato or n8n) or modern data stack tools (Snowflake, dbt) is a plus.

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the requirement for current or future employer sponsorship.

• Willingness to leverage AI to enhance skills and improve work quality, demonstrating curiosity, a desire to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to increase efficiency and impact.
