Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

📋 Description

• Create and develop comprehensive Forms functionalities for web, mobile, backend services, and platform integrations.

• Oversee technical projects from initial discovery to final rollout, encompassing architecture, implementation, testing, observability, and launch.

• Enhance the scalability, reliability, and extensibility of the Forms platform as its usage expands across various customers and product domains.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to transform customer requirements into streamlined, effective workflows for field and operations groups.

• Elevate engineering standards through meticulous code reviews, effective testing strategies, operational excellence, and mentorship.

• Advocate for, exemplify, and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles as we expand globally and establish new offices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Extensive experience in developing production-level web applications and backend services.

• Proficient in at least one backend programming language (Go, Java, C#, or a comparable language).

• Capability to manage intricate and ambiguous projects across multiple systems and stakeholders.

• Strong product awareness and a customer-centric approach to engineering decisions.

• Experience in designing APIs, data models, permissions, and scalable service boundaries.

• Competence in mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction without relying solely on authority.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams.
