Senior Software Engineer, Frontend – React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the standards governing the development, testing, and release of code across our web platform. You will spearhead collaboration among various teams, implementing practices that ensure our systems remain secure and reliable while elevating code quality and usability throughout the organization.

• Develop and advance Afresh's Corporate Hub—the web platform that provides corporate stakeholders with insights into store-level ordering performance and centralized oversight of replenishment configurations, display policies, and large-scale ordering strategies.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Account Management, Support, Operations, and fellow engineering teams to deliver cohesive solutions that address client needs.

• Contribute to the vision for the next generation of the Ordering product and its supporting infrastructure.

• Assume a mentorship role to guide junior and mid-level engineers, promote technical development, and conduct thoughtful, constructive code evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Over 6 years of software development experience, with at least 4 years focused on creating complex, scalable frontends using React.

• Strong expertise in the modern React ecosystem, TypeScript, and GraphQL, along with extensive experience in utilizing or developing reusable UI component libraries and design systems.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex technical projects throughout the entire development lifecycle—from conception to launch—with significant autonomy.

• A keen interest in delving into intricate systems, with a strong desire to master a complex business domain and understand technical dependencies beyond the frontend layer.

• A committed team player who actively engages in agile ceremonies, addresses blockers collaboratively, and is eager to mentor and support the growth of junior engineers.
