Senior Software Engineer, Frontend – Quick Service

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a key contributor to @owner/ui, our collaborative component library utilized across mobile, web, POS, guest applications, and white-label solutions, facilitating the "right way" as the simplest option for product teams at Owner.

• Lead the cross-platform UI strategy for the Point of Sale (Quick Service) team, developing components once that function seamlessly across platforms using React Native and React Native Web.

• Collaborate with engineers throughout the organization to define component patterns, design primitives, and standards in @owner/ui that can be scaled across various teams.

• Spearhead the development of UI features and components for the Quick Service POS — this phase is characterized by high execution and significant impact on the product.

• Minimize UX drift and maintenance challenges by creating shared patterns that expedite onboarding and ensure consistency in feature development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in UI systems and design systems — you have either built or maintained shared component libraries that are used at scale.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Full-stack engineering capability — comfortable delivering features across both frontend and backend.

• Familiarity with React Native and/or React Native Web (cross-platform UI is a fundamental aspect of this role).

• A background in frontend modernization, web platforms, or UX/UI engineering — titles such as UI Engineer, UX Engineer, Frontend Platform, or Web Platform align with your experience.

• A proactive approach to building: this team is currently in a high-execution phase, and we need someone who can deliver results.

• Capability to work collaboratively across product, design, and engineering teams to foster alignment on patterns and standards.
