Senior Software Engineer – Front End/Back End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• The Senior Software Engineer - Front End/Back End acts as a skilled individual contributor within a collaborative team environment.

• With minimal supervision from leadership, you will play a key role in achieving scope, schedule, and delivery objectives.

• This position influences the long-term objectives of the program while aiding in the development strategy of the program.

• You may take on the role of the primary lead in your discipline when engaging with stakeholders, utilizing your strong influence to enhance software engineering processes and methodologies.

• You will showcase expertise, accountability, and ownership in your contributions to the application codebase.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of related technical domains and ecosystems to effectively coordinate integrations with those systems.

• Diagnose and resolve issues within the systems you manage, using incidents as learning opportunities to enhance the systems.

• Actively mentor and support junior engineers in enhancing their skill sets.

• Clearly communicate technical challenges and updates to team members and clients.

• Participate in technical interviews for prospective candidates.

• Exhibit strong influence in proposing and assessing various solutions to technical and process-related challenges.

• May mentor other team members.

• May lead small, less critical, or temporary team initiatives and projects.

• Present design documents, system diagrams, and more to clients, stakeholders, partners, and fellow engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree and over 7 years of engineering experience.

• Relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

• Demonstrates expert-level proficiency in at least one technical field (including but not limited to front-end, back-end, or infrastructure engineering).
