Senior Software Engineer – Foundations Team, Infrastructure/Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of secure, fault-tolerant, and highly available cloud infrastructure utilizing public cloud services.

• Continuously enhance system performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for seamless operation at scale.

• Spearhead the development of our Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines within a multi-service environment.

• Strategically plan and execute timely infrastructure upgrades and modifications using infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Utilize tools such as DataDog, Sentry, and others for monitoring system infrastructure.

• Define, advocate for, and maintain runbooks, operating procedures, and system architecture diagrams.

• Offer technical guidance, mentor fellow engineers, and cultivate a culture of engineering excellence.

• Adopt a culture of agility and efficiency, acting swiftly to seize opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in professional software development.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Go, Python, Typescript, or Ruby.

• Extensive experience in designing secure solutions on cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).

• Demonstrated expertise in automated provisioning using tools like Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

• Experience with automated deployments utilizing container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or Docker.

• Strong hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

• Familiar with SQL, RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred), and data warehousing solutions (e.g., ClickHouse).

• Skilled in AI-assisted software development (e.g., Claude, Cursor, etc.).
