Senior Software Engineer, Firefox Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in the creation and enhancement of Firefox features associated with installations, updates, and operating system integrations.

• Assist in the implementation of improvements to the Firefox installation and update process, utilizing data-driven insights to steer development.

• Address platform-specific challenges in low-level operating system integration on Windows and/or macOS.

• Work collaboratively with your manager and colleagues to define and prioritize tasks in line with the team's objectives.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions alongside peers.

• Assume responsibility for complex bugs and spearhead initiatives to enhance the Firefox experience for hundreds of millions of users.

• Collaborate closely with your globally distributed team in a highly interactive work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficiency in systems-level programming on at least one major platform (Windows, macOS).

• Strong programming capabilities in C/C++.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in distributed teams.

• Ability to decompose technical tasks and maintain steady progress within project deadlines.
