Senior Software Engineer, Elixir

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Develop new functionalities using Elixir and Phoenix LiveView for our billing and subscription management platform, which serves as a crucial internal and customer-facing product that facilitates quoting, invoicing, subscription management, and monetization throughout the organization.

• Operate within a CI/CD environment, regularly deploying code to production while adhering to agile methodologies.

• Collaborate with engineering colleagues in the US and Romania on mutual priorities.

• Diagnose technical challenges, ranging from bugs to outages and customer support inquiries.

• Conduct research, prototype solutions, and contribute to key technical decisions.

• Engage in constructive code reviews and foster a culture of continuous learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing applications based on Elixir or Erlang, with the majority of this experience in a professional context.

• Familiarity with payment processing and billing systems such as Stripe.

• Demonstrated ability to create intuitive, scalable UI/UX for SaaS products.

• Understanding of agile development practices and CI/CD workflows.

• Experience with GraphQL for building and utilizing APIs.

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and PostgreSQL.

• Exposure to observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

• Experience with open-source development is a plus.
