
Senior Software Engineer, Developer Platform – AI Tooling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate with the developer platform team on projects aimed at enhancing developer experience and accelerating delivery from design to rollout, enablement, and assessment.
• Align the platform roadmap with overarching business goals, provide constructive feedback on the roadmap, and streamline product and technical design.
• Design and expand AI-driven developer tools, including intelligent coding and review workflows, guardrail-aware assistants, and collections of prompts and service manuals.
• Advance the CI/CD platform to boost speed, observability, and user adoption.
• Enhance the reliability and security of the Kubernetes platform, focusing on resiliency, deployment strategies, priority classes, Helm, deployment practices, IaC workflows, incident response, maintenance modes, and recovery strategies.
• Develop self-service developer templates, improvements to CLI and automation, bootstrap processes, documentation, runbooks, and technical blogs.
• Collaborate with teammates on intricate changes, advocate for high-quality code reviews, share best practices, and communicate any blockers, delays, or changes in scope.
• Proven history of developing platform capabilities that deliver tangible results in developer speed, reliability, and/or quality.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD systems and reusable pipeline components like GitHub Actions or similar technologies.
• Strong background in Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps (such as ArgoCD), and infrastructure as code (like Terraform).
• Solid experience in applying AI to engineering tasks, including prompt design, multi-agent orchestration, safety measures, and integrating LLMs into coding and review processes.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages relevant to platform work, such as Python, TypeScript/Node.js, and Bash.
• Ability to navigate across different stacks to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Strong instincts regarding security and reliability, encompassing secrets management, least privilege principles, dependency hygiene, and runtime hardening.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Active listening skills.
• Bonus: experience in developing intelligent developer assistants; managing CDN and edge controls; ensuring platform observability; enabling gRPC services; configuring runtime patterns; and working with commercial LLM providers like Anthropic; implementing safe enterprise rollout strategies.
