This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain AI/ML models and pipelines that power ExtraHop's products.
• Monitor, assess, refine, and enhance algorithms to boost accuracy and minimize false positives for model-based behavioral detectors.
• Engage in agile development processes, conduct code reviews, and participate in technical strategy discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of AI/ML features into the broader product architecture.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members, utilizing design and mentorship experience to empower the wider team.
• Serve as a technical expert, promoting a culture of excellence, curiosity, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices.
• Proactively address technical debt, continuously enhancing our codebase and technical stack.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to contribute to product improvements.
• Assist in documenting product features, technical specifications, and engineering guides.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional backend development experience, including at least two years at a senior level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of Go, Python, or a similar programming language, along with solid general programming fundamentals.
• Experience in machine learning, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Proven experience in building or operating production AI/ML systems, encompassing model lifecycle management, data/training pipelines, and monitoring.
• Ability to build and scale distributed, highly available systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS; experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a solid record of technical ownership.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working both independently and within fast-paced team environments.
