Data Migration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the effective migration of both structured and unstructured content—including PDFs, images, and specialized repository artifacts—into the designated system (xECM or similar).

• Design, create, and implement ETL/ELT processes specifically for PeopleSoft data and custom repository content.

• Identify and address migration challenges concerning PeopleSoft data structures, custom repository formats, volume management, and xECM ingestion regulations.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, PeopleSoft administrators, and repository owners to establish migration scope, cutover strategies, and post-migration validation.

• Document migration artifacts, which include mappings, runbooks, and procedures for handling exceptions.

• Work alongside xECM Functional Consultants to create integrated end-to-end solutions that meet business and governance needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in ETL/ELT development and data migration methodologies.

• Practical experience with PeopleSoft data structures and custom repositories.

• Experience in migrating unstructured content (such as PDFs, images, and scanned documents) into enterprise content management systems like xECM.

• Capability to troubleshoot migration issues, ingestion errors, and challenges associated with high-volume data processing.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional technical and business teams.

• A proven track record in documenting comprehensive migration artifacts, mappings, and validation processes.
