Senior Software Engineer, Compute Sanitizer – GPU

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Utilize your knowledge of computing programming models and architectures to develop tools that offer actionable insights to compute developers.

• Engage with existing driver and application code while also creating new shared libraries and specific performance tests.

• Create the Compute Sanitizer, a suite of memory checking tools designed for GPUs operating on Linux, Windows, and embedded systems.

• Collaborate with tools, compiler, architecture, and driver teams to design, implement, and validate new features within the Compute Sanitizer framework.

• Work alongside internal and external partners, including peer organizations within NVIDIA.

• Accurately estimate and prioritize tasks to establish a feasible delivery timetable.

• Write efficient, maintainable, reliable, and well-documented code.

• Conduct peer reviews for fellow engineers, providing insights on performance, scalability, and correctness.

• Document requirements and designs, reviewing them with teams across NVIDIA.

• Mentor junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Over 8 years of professional experience.

• Proficient programming skills in C, C++, Assembly Language, and various scripting languages.

• Strong expertise in system programming, including memory management, process/thread management, debugging, and profiling.

• In-depth understanding of computer architecture pertaining to x86 or ARM CPUs.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Familiarity with low-level programming in assembly languages.

• Understanding of source control systems (git, Perforce, etc.).

• Ability to manage oneself, communicate effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with shifting priorities and directions.
