Senior Software Engineer, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance distributed systems that facilitate Ditto’s edge-to-cloud functionalities.

• Drive the creation of services in Rust that work seamlessly with Kubernetes and contemporary cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Collaborate with leadership to influence system architecture, team methodologies, and engineering culture.

• Tackle intricate challenges related to real-time synchronization, scalability, and fault tolerance in diverse network settings.

• Guide and engage with engineers throughout the organization, elevating the technical standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience; a proven track record at the Senior or Staff level.

• Experience in large-scale environments, preferably within a FAANG or prominent cloud provider (Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.).

• Strong proficiency in Rust (or comparable systems languages such as C++/Go, with a willingness to learn Rust).

• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s), cloud-native architectures, and distributed systems.

• Demonstrated capability to deliver results in high-scale, production environments.

• Located in the United States (remote-friendly).
