This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate on the architecture, design, and development of scalable and highly available applications and services.
• Address complex infrastructure-related challenges through coding, providing post-release support for scalable applications.
• Identify and implement improvements to DevOps practices and tooling, utilizing automation to enhance the reliability of the CI/CD pipeline, thus facilitating efficient application development and deployment.
• Lead technology design efforts and communicate architecture solution options to product owners and engineering leadership.
• Conduct post-mortem analyses to examine and mitigate the recurrence of failures.
• Advocate for Continuous Improvement across all infrastructure and systems.
• Assess and recommend tools, technologies, and processes that effectively address specific business challenges.
• Become a domain expert by staying informed about industry trends and best practices, contributing to their ongoing enhancement.
• Over 5 years of programming experience in backend languages.
• At least 2 years of experience with PHP (strongly preferred), Python, GoLang, Java, or a comparable programming language.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with MySQL or similar technologies.
• Strong comprehension of database schema design, caching, and scalability.
• In-depth understanding of various communication protocols (TCP, RPC, etc.).
• Solid grasp of Distributed Systems.
• Experience with caching technologies is advantageous (e.g., Redis or Memcached).
• DevOps experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with full-stack observability tools like New Relic is strongly preferred.
• Practical understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Experience with modern CI/CD and containerization tools like Docker.
• Ability to conduct time and memory complexity analyses.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
