This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality applications for both new and existing product lines.
• Take ownership of features from start to finish — including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Architect and enhance our core technology stack (Python, FastAPI, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Convert complex business and product requirements into elegant, reliable technical solutions in partnership with Product and business stakeholders.
• Propel enhancements in performance, reliability, testing, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Mentor fellow engineers and promote a culture of engineering excellence and accountability.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Over 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Extensive experience in building APIs and backend services in Python, including OpenAPI-based service contracts.
• Proficient in developing and deploying containerized applications in AWS environments, including event-driven architectures.
• Background in real estate finance or financial services is preferred.
• Strong expertise in Python (3.6+) and contemporary backend frameworks like FastAPI, with a focus on clean, maintainable architecture.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Capability to design efficient, scalable backend systems, covering background processing, queues, caching strategies, and scheduled jobs.
• Thorough understanding of testing strategies at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Familiarity with system design documentation standards, including UML and architectural diagrams.
• Knowledge of event sourcing and/or Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• Ability to utilize AI-enabled development tools to enhance design, implementation, and testing workflows.
