This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
β’ Conduct in-depth analysis, advanced design, configuration, and develop functionalities for significant and high-visibility projects.
β’ Take charge of directing and implementing solutions for moderately complex, loosely defined issues that align with team objectives.
β’ Execute tasks both independently and by guiding other team members.
β’ Spearhead investigations and resolutions for critical, high-impact problems, defects, and incidents.
β’ Serve as a technology advocate, proactively identifying opportunities where technology can enhance business operations.
β’ Offer technical guidance and mentorship while nurturing a collaborative team environment.
β’ Utilize knowledge of current industry trends and methodologies to devise solutions within the scope of assigned tasks.
β’ Seek avenues to broaden technical expertise and capabilities.
β’ Perform additional duties as required.
β’ A minimum of five years of programming and development experience.
β’ Proven expertise in leading and managing software engineering teams, emphasizing team collaboration, development, and achieving project objectives.
β’ Demonstrated experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS (Serverless/EKS) and/or Azure).
β’ Proficient in API development (e.g., REST and/or GraphQL).
β’ Familiarity with frameworks/libraries such as Node.js.
β’ Experience with coding assistants (e.g., knowledge of Claude and GitHub Co-Pilot).
β’ Advanced delivery skills including the ability to establish the software design strategy and methodology, utilize automated testing, analysis, and feedback loops to ensure the quality and readiness of work prior to release, and monitor the health of work efforts and related systems.
β’ Proven track record of domain expertise, with the ability to build business partnerships and influence priorities by identifying solutions aligned with current business objectives and industry trends, and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities, utilizing data and proofs of concepts to develop creative solutions to complex problems, reflecting on solutions, measuring their impact, and using insights for optimization. Proficient at making decisions that involve numerous factors with broad implications.
β’ Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technology concepts in an understandable manner for the business, documenting initiatives clearly, collaborating effectively with teammates and others regardless of role, swiftly identifying core issues in discussions and meetings, providing and receiving constructive feedback, offering assistance when needed, and ensuring everyone has an opportunity to express their views and feel heard; a considerate and empathetic listener.
β’ Advanced leadership skills with the capacity to take initiative even in the absence of a clear owner, inspire and motivate others, and effectively influence team members.
