Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the technical vision of the Perception Architecture team and the wider perception organization.

• Design and develop essential machine learning components and architectures that empower the perception system to scale and effectively tackle complex, long-tail driving scenarios.

• Lead the initial implementation and prototyping of critical architectural decisions, such as addressing long tail challenges or long-range detection.

• Play a key role in enhancing model frameworks, architectures, and data pipelines to eliminate development bottlenecks and expedite model iteration.

• Spearhead challenging technical discussions and foster consensus among sister teams (e.g., Actor Detection, Scene Understanding, Tracking) and stakeholders to guarantee alignment across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (with 4+ years of experience), a Master's degree (with 2+ years of experience), or a PhD (with 1+ years of experience) in a perception-related discipline, such as Robotics, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning.

• Significant experience in architecting, training, and evaluating deep learning models for complex problem domains.

• Proven history of advancing applied research or engineering projects from initial conception and experimentation to successful product implementation.

• Strong proficiency in software engineering, machine learning algorithm design, and constructing data/metrics pipelines for ML development.

• Proficient in Python with hands-on experience in C++.

• Experience in delivering detection, segmentation, tracking, or other perception solutions for real-time robotic applications, with prior experience in sensor fusion being highly desirable.
