Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the technical vision of the Perception Architecture team and the wider perception organization.

• Design and create essential machine learning components and architectures that empower the perception system to scale effectively and manage intricate, long-tail driving scenarios.

• Spearhead the initial implementation and prototyping of critical architectural choices, such as addressing long-tail challenges or enhancing long-range detection.

• Assist in advancing model frameworks, architecture, and data pipelines to remove development bottlenecks and speed up model iteration.

• Lead significant technical discussions and foster consensus among related teams (e.g., Actor Detection, Scene Understanding, Tracking) and stakeholders to guarantee alignment across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS (with 4+ years of experience), MS (with 2+ years of experience), or PhD (with 1+ years of experience) in a field related to perception, such as Robotics, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning.

• Extensive expertise in architecting, training, and assessing deep learning models for complex problem domains.

• Proven experience in leading applied research or engineering projects from initial concept and experimentation to successful product deployment.

• Strong background in software engineering, machine learning algorithm development, and constructing data/metrics pipelines for ML advancement.

• Proficient in Python with practical experience in C++.

• Experience in delivering detection, segmentation, tracking, or other perception solutions for real-time robotic applications, with a strong preference for applicants with sensor fusion experience.
