Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Core Projects: Enhance and maintain our orchestration engine and git interface, ensuring they uphold exceptional standards of performance, reliability, and security.

• Daily Tasks: Engage in product or internal feature development (such as minimizing dependencies or enhancing our internal telemetry), expanding our testing suite, or deploying our components.

• Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams to create container orchestration solutions that align with organizational objectives and customer requirements.

• Challenging Problems: Develop backward-compatible solutions to intricate issues while optimizing services for efficient operation and troubleshooting deployment failures.

• Drive Innovation: Continuously pursue opportunities to enhance automation, testing, and deployment methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid software engineering foundation with expertise in Python and Go.

• Comfortable working with low-level systems.

• Proficient in asynchronous programming and concurrency models in Python or comparable languages.

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and their internals, encompassing process management, networking, containers, and file systems.

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, OCI images, LXC, etc.).

• Comprehensive understanding of the Git protocol, including the workings of repositories.

• Skilled in debugging complex systems, including analyzing traces and logs.

• Practical problem-solving abilities, utilizing effective solutions to efficiently address complex challenges.

• Experience with AI coding assistants and LLM APIs, including their application in code reviews, documentation, and debugging.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to participate in discussions, accept constructive feedback, and share insights with diverse audiences.
