Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead and execute the research and development of secure, scalable, and highly available production-grade software.

• Collaborate with Product Management to ensure that design, engineering, and implementation align with design intentions and fulfill business requirements.

• Create technical design documentation that adheres to both business and solution architecture specifications.

• Work alongside technology leadership to identify and adopt new technologies and methods that enhance our overall platform performance.

• Develop, implement, and advocate for engineering best practices using modern SDLC that facilitates CI/CD and emphasizes automation, auditability, automated testing, and policies as code.

• Provide technical support for both relational and NoSQL databases, as well as application business logic code, including the development of APIs that manage data, data modeling, and schema design.

• Mentor junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert (SME).


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Understanding of object-oriented principles in programming languages such as C#, C++, and Java.

• Proficiency in high-level programming languages.

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.

• Development of message or data streaming-based applications using technologies such as JMS, Azure Messaging Services, Apache Kafka, or Amazon MQ.

• Knowledge of web services standards and related technologies (XML, XSD, SOAP, JSON, Rest).

• Experience with both relational and non-relational database technologies and concepts, including MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, HBase, ACID, and the CAP theorem.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex ideas and document them concisely.

• Solid understanding of cloud architecture.
