Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Leading the design and development of comprehensive full stack features for our AI-driven web application utilizing Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Establishing the technical vision and architectural standards for AI/ML systems.

• Fostering innovation through research and prototyping of advanced AI technologies.

• Ensuring adherence to security, scalability, and observability best practices within our cloud architecture.

• Collaborating within a cross-functional environment, closely engaging with product, design, and business teams to convey technical designs and strategies.

• Acting as a role model for engineering standards, promoting consistency across systems and processes while mentoring junior and intermediate engineers.

• Facilitating sound technical decision-making in the face of ambiguous, system-spanning challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A robust technical background with over 5 years of experience in full-stack web development and production-level AI/ML systems.

• In-depth expertise in AI/ML fields such as NLP, computer vision, recommendation engines, etc.

• Strong proficiency in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and microservices.

• Proven capability to architect and oversee end-to-end AI projects while implementing security best practices.

• Excellent technical communication and knowledge-sharing skills.

• A history of managing ambiguity and delivering innovative solutions.

• An appreciation for dynamic startup environments and experience in building foundational systems.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous technical challenges and drive them to resolution alongside cross-functional teams.

• Strong development skills in React, Python, and Node, or equivalent technologies, with a quick ability to ramp up.
