Senior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Create and deploy human-in-the-loop interfaces that allow internal operators to review, amend, and approve AI-generated sports statistics in real time across thousands of simultaneous live streams.

• Design and develop fan-in-the-loop experiences, such as interactive highlights, live stat overlays, and engagement features across NFHS Network, GoFan, and MaxPreps.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish: from data modeling and API design to frontend implementation and production deployment. You’ll deliver, not merely document.

• Incorporate AI/ML model outputs (computer vision, LLMs) into production applications, constructing the service layer that connects models to users.

• Create reusable Python service templates and UI component patterns that set the team's standard for AI-driven development.

• Collaborate with computer vision engineers, product managers, and data teams to convert pipeline outputs into user-friendly and high-performance experiences.

• Contribute to system design and architectural decisions within the streaming intelligence program. Engage in code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation.

• Assist in evaluating and integrating third-party tools and vendor APIs (annotation platforms, model serving infrastructure) as the platform grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python proficiency and a proven history of building production web applications and APIs.

• Builder mentality — you’ve delivered end-to-end features from concept to production, rather than just maintaining existing systems. You prioritize action and rapid iteration.

• Experience in integrating AI/ML models into user-facing applications (LLM APIs, computer vision pipelines, or similar). You grasp the practical challenges of making model outputs beneficial to real users.

• Strong foundation in API design, data modeling, and service architecture. You write clean, testable code and are conscientious about the systems you create.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS EKS, S3) and modern data tools (Snowflake, Kafka, or similar).

• Excellent communicator who collaborates effectively across disciplines — you can discuss user flows with a product manager and model outputs with a data scientist in the same day.

• Bonus: frontend experience with React/TypeScript (particularly in interactive annotation or dashboard UIs), knowledge of sports data or video analytics, experience with annotation tools (Roboflow, CVAT, Label Studio), or an interest in developer experience and internal tools.
