• Take ownership of a key service or domain (a core API, an essential customer workflow, a significant .NET module) and enhance its reliability, performance, and user experience.
• Lead intricate, multi-sprint projects from inception to completion — design documentation → deployment → post-release evaluation — while ensuring our DORA metrics remain optimal.
• Collaborate with your PM and Designer to influence both the development process and the final product.
• Elevate the capabilities of your peers through code reviews, mentoring, and comprehensive documentation.
• Anticipate potential failure scenarios, establish protective measures, and implement insights gained from post-incident analyses.
• Approximately 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, emphasizing the depth of impact over the number of years.
• Extensive, practical experience with C#/.NET and Angular (or a similarly modern framework); proficient with Azure SQL Server and a contemporary cloud environment.
• Proficient in AI methodologies — actively utilizing coding assistants and agentic workflows, able to discuss the advantages and drawbacks of AI, and willing to spearhead its adoption within the team.
• Systems thinker — capable of analyzing latency, consistency, and scalability trade-offs and drafting design documentation that aligns your team on challenging decisions.
• Demonstrated operational ownership — comfortable being on-call, instrumenting your releases, and integrating reliability into your features.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills — clear writing, constructive reviews, and low ego during discussions.
• Values alignment — proactive in taking action, transparent about trade-offs, and accountable for results.
