Senior Software Engineer

Posted May 4

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Take ownership of a vital service or domain (such as a core API, an essential customer workflow, or a significant .NET module) and enhance its reliability, performance, and overall user experience.

β€’ Lead intricate, multi-sprint projects from start to finish β€” including design documentation, rollout, and post-release monitoring β€” while ensuring our DORA metrics remain favorable.

β€’ Collaborate with your Product Manager and Designer to influence not just the implementation but also the overall product vision.

β€’ Elevate the skills of your peers through constructive code reviews, mentoring, and clear documentation.

β€’ Proactively identify potential failure modes, establish safety nets, and apply insights from post-incident analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Approximately 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with emphasis on the depth of impact rather than the number of years.

β€’ Extensive, hands-on experience with C#/.NET and Angular (or a related contemporary framework), along with proficiency in Azure SQL Server and modern cloud environments.

β€’ Demonstrated proficiency in AI applications β€” utilizing coding assistants and agentic workflows, possessing the ability to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of AI, and being prepared to lead its adoption within the team.

β€’ Systematic thinking β€” capable of analyzing latency, consistency, and scale trade-offs, and drafting design documents that guide your team through challenging decisions.

β€’ Operational accountability β€” comfortable with on-call duties, ensuring instrumentation of delivered features, and integrating reliability into the product.

β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills β€” clear writing, constructive feedback in reviews, and a low-ego approach during disagreements.

β€’ Alignment with company values β€” demonstrating a bias toward action, transparency regarding trade-offs, and accountability for results.

β€’ Eligibility β€” legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.

🏝️ Benefits

β€’ In the U.S., we provide extensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with a variety of plan options, along with additional benefits such as HSA/FSA accounts, disability and life insurance, and more.

β€’ In Canada, we offer an employer-funded HSA-based benefits plan that includes drug, dental, and mental health coverage, allowing you flexibility in managing your healthcare needs.

β€’ We are dedicated to your financial well-being, offering 401(k) matching for U.S. employees and RRSP matching for those in Canada.

β€’ We support your professional growth through personalized career development discussions and resources for tools, courses, and other supportive materials to help you succeed.

β€’ Regarding work-life balance, we provide unlimited Paid Time Off, paid company holidays, and a company-wide winter break from December 24 to January 1, allowing you to fully recharge.
