Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain reliable, high-quality integrations between G-P's platform and various third-party HRIS systems (such as ADP, Workday, etc.)

• Create and implement new services utilizing a serverless, event-driven microservices architecture (including AWS SAM/Lambda, EventBridge, SNS)

• Take ownership of and improve components of our public API platform, emphasizing robust REST API design, OAuth implementation, and the management of inbound and outbound webhooks

• Convert high-level product requirements and business objectives into clearly defined, actionable workstreams, design specifications, and sprint stories

• Work closely with Product and User Experience teams to fully understand requirements

• Contribute to the advancement of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and succeed in a multi-region remote-first environment

• A practical mindset for problem-solving, with the capability to pivot and adjust to evolving requirements

• Strong expertise in serverless architectures, particularly with AWS SAM/Lambda

• Extensive, hands-on experience in designing and working with NoSQL databases, notably DynamoDB

• Proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining microservices and bounded contexts

• Established proficiency in REST API design and implementing event-driven patterns using technologies like AWS EventBridge and SNS

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices utilizing GitHub Actions

• Experience in developing and integrating full-stack web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., Typescript, React, Node.js, APIs)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
