Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop a unified, contemporary portal to supplant outdated systems.

• Create REST APIs for back-end development teams.

• Maintain data integrity between legacy systems and new implementations.

• Perform code reviews and establish engineering standards.

• Engage in upholding government security protocols for applications.

• Oversee and test modifications prior to production deployment.

• Work collaboratively with teams to enhance processes and boost efficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing server-side systems using C#/.NET.

• Proficient in TypeScript for front-end and back-end integration.

• Experienced in integrating relational databases like SQL Server or DB2 behind well-defined APIs.

• Designed microservices and REST APIs that are utilized by other teams.

• Transferred data between systems utilizing event streaming.

• Implemented genuine authentication and authorization methods (OAuth2 / OIDC / SAML).

• Experience in gradual legacy modernization (desirable).

• Background in government, civic-tech, or regulated/high-stakes environments (desirable).

• Knowledge of Azure, containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (desirable).

• Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent professional experience.
