📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of intricate software systems and integrations with minimal supervision.

• Propel technical decision-making and engage in architectural discussions across various services and systems.

• Utilize version control systems to manage and monitor changes to source code.

• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design discussions, pairing sessions, and daily collaboration.

• Enhance engineering quality by advocating best practices in software design, testing, observability, and operational excellence.

• Provide constructive technical feedback and help establish uniform engineering standards across the team.

• Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality, ensure consistency, and disseminate knowledge among team members.

• Take part in on-call rotations and assist in diagnosing and resolving production issues.

• Foster improvements in monitoring, alerting, observability, and system reliability.

• Investigate complex production issues and spearhead root cause analysis efforts.

• Identify and resolve software defects and issues, using analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop efficient and effective solutions.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless integration of software components and successful product releases.

• Contribute to project planning, estimation, and technical roadmap discussions.

• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.

• Suggest and implement process improvements that enhance development efficiency, reliability, and product quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives from design to production deployment.

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing fellow engineers.

• Expert-level proficiency in Python development in production settings.

• Strong experience in designing and building REST APIs and distributed systems.

• Significant experience debugging and troubleshooting intricate production issues.

• Proficient experience with relational databases and SQL.

• Experience in designing scalable, maintainable, and observable backend services.

• Experience in writing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design principles, and software architecture patterns.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
