Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Clarity Innovations is looking for a Software Engineer II to support USCC.

• This role is a hands-on individual contributor position concentrated on data pipeline development, systems integration, and contributions to SDKs across various programming languages.

• The ideal candidate is a driven mid-level engineer with practical experience in data serialization, pipeline tooling, and transport technologies, who is keen to advance in a classified, mission-oriented setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active TS security clearance is required prior to commencement.

• Ability to operate in classified environments while adhering to all relevant security protocols.

• Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Java, C.

• Understanding of data pipeline concepts, including transformation, validation, and structured data routing.

• Familiarity with data serialization formats such as Avro, Protobuf, JSON, or XML.

• Basic experience with integrating enterprise services through REST APIs or message-based systems.

• Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and version control practices.

• Exposure to containerized environments utilizing Kubernetes and Docker.

• 3 to 6 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Previous experience in DoD, defense contracting, or other classified settings is preferred.

• Proven capability to contribute to production software systems collaboratively.

• Familiarity with Apache NiFi or similar data flow tools.

• Understanding of message broker or streaming transport technologies.

• Experience in shared library or SDK development.

• Prior involvement in supporting USAF programs.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams alongside senior engineers and platform personnel.
