Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in enhancing Circle's proprietary blockchain infrastructure to facilitate the tokenization of global assets;

• assessing requirements, processes, and challenges to optimize existing systems and implement modifications;

• developing and managing scalable microservices responsible for creating reliable and secure APIs that facilitate asset and value transfers across various blockchain and traditional banking protocols;

• working closely with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and refine Circle features, which includes creating and documenting system design methodologies, testing protocols, and quality benchmarks;

• identifying and resolving program and system issues to restore normal operations;

• creating publicly accessible APIs that simplify integration for developers with sophisticated payment systems;

• integrating Platform Services with top banks and financial technology solutions;

• collaborating with management to ensure alignment on system principles;

• crafting the infrastructure required to deliver exceptional payment experiences, encompassing data sources (SQL or NoSQL), messaging systems, and APIs;

• performing additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Java and Go;

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience);

• Experience leading teams (2-4 members) with a focus on architecture and system design;

• Background in working with payment systems, including credit cards and bank transfers;

• Comprehensive understanding of RESTful API design and development best practices;

• Proficiency in Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.);

• Experience with SQL databases and schema design;

• Demonstrated success in designing and deploying production-quality, scalable software;

• Commitment to coding standards and software quality, with a strong desire for excellent test coverage to support continuous delivery;

• Outstanding communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with remote teams, share ideas, and present concepts effectively;

• A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys delivering software that enhances user experiences, and continuously seeks to improve work with minimal supervision.
