This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Integrate AI-driven tools into the daily workflows of engineers (e.g., Claude, VS Code, GitLab, Datadog, internal documentation, Slack chatops).
• Develop and enhance inference and tool-calling pathways utilizing Claude models on Amazon Bedrock, LiteLLM, and MCP/tool gateways within the secure networks of Omada.
• Collaborate with various Engineering teams to establish AI-augmented SDLC patterns throughout planning, coding, testing, and operations.
• Design and refine Slack-based chatops experiences that safely coordinate internal services through business-level agentic harnesses.
• Measure and monitor AI usage, performance, and costs to aid the team and engineering leadership in understanding our impact and organizational maturity.
• Work with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure AI workflows are designed to safely manage PHI and other sensitive information.
• Develop reusable examples, templates, and internal libraries that facilitate the adoption of AI-powered workflows without the need for customized implementations.
• Participate in training, documentation, and office hours to empower engineers, PMs, and designers to become proficient AI users and collaborators.
• Over 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer focusing on infrastructure, development tools, or similar internal systems.
• Extensive experience in building backend services and integrations (e.g., REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven systems, or internal service meshes).
• Practical experience with at least one modern LLM platform or orchestration layer (e.g., AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, LiteLLM, LangChain, or similar).
• Proficient in at least one contemporary programming language used for backend and tooling (e.g., Ruby, Python, TypeScript/Node, Go, or similar).
• Experience in integrating internal services or third-party APIs into bots, CLIs, chatops workflows, or internal tools.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and secure-by-default practices for managing secrets, credentials, and sensitive data.
• Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to translate real-world workflows into technical requirements and communicate trade-offs effectively.
