Senior Software Engineer, Ads

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• You will be instrumental in the development of our Ads suite, creating top-notch reporting solutions across a variety of platforms.

• Ensure that advertisers and retailers obtain timely, precise, and actionable data insights.

• Contribute to the enhancement of our Ads suite and ensure a smooth flow of data to our users.

• Improve our ability to handle petabyte-scale data and generate reports crucial for billing, strategic decisions, and partner management.

• Take ownership of the vision, strategy, and development of our multi-platform reporting system that is efficient, scalable, and caters to diverse user needs.

• Promote data quality, accuracy, scalability, and latency standards to ensure consistency in facilitating data-driven decisions and features across the organization.

• Lead new initiatives, code and document components, draft and review system design documents, and collaborate with other teams and functions to gather and comprehend our customers' requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent verified industry experience (4+ years).

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, along with proven experience in data processing technologies such as DBT and Airflow, and common web frameworks such as Rails.

• Highly skilled in SQL, capable of writing and reviewing intricate queries for data analysis and debugging purposes.

• Ability to design for scalability with a holistic view of the entire system.

• Excellent communication skills, comfortable in seeking and giving feedback.

• Strong analytical and debugging abilities.

• A robust sense of ownership while working with a large codebase and a diverse array of products.

• A collaborative approach to partner with engineers, designers, and PMs from various teams to co-create impactful solutions while supporting system contributions.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to communicate and present ideas clearly and influence key stakeholders at the manager, director, and VP levels.
