Senior Software Development Engineer, iOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create iOS app software from initial concept to final production, serving millions of drivers and vehicles globally.

• Engage in reviewing, assessing, and offering feedback on product designs and architectures with a focus on software engineering.

• Analyze and suggest new and emerging products and technologies.

• Produce and contribute to high-quality documentation aimed at software engineers.

• Collaborate effectively with product managers, product designers, and other technical professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

• Over 5 years of practical software engineering experience in native iOS application development.

• More than 5 years of experience with Swift and the iOS app development ecosystem.

• At least 3 years of experience in mobile frontend application architecture, including modular application design, state management, and navigation strategies.

• Ideally, you possess...

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• A strong commitment to software testing and a preference for working in an agile environment.

• Experience and enthusiasm for delivering an exceptional end product to customers worldwide.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style to various audiences and influence peers across functions, including engineering, product, and design stakeholders.

• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment targeting significant transformations.

• Experience in building and deploying production-grade software or services.

• A strong desire to collaborate closely, solve problems with teams, find win/win solutions, and celebrate successes with other talented engineers.

• Proficient in CI/CD environments.

• Familiarity with software operations (DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Observability, Support, and Maintenance) including debugging in local environments, tracing production issues, performance testing, and load testing.

• Strong expertise in Swift iOS development.

• Extensive experience in designing UIs using SwiftUI.

• Skills in CI (Fastlane) and scripting.

• Understanding of popular architectural choices on Apple platforms (MVVM, MVC, etc.).

• Working knowledge and ideally some practical experience with the Composable Architecture library (TCA).

• Knowledge of Ruby for scripting.
