Senior Software Development Engineer, Android

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop reusable Android components, patterns, and infrastructure utilizing Kotlin and contemporary Android frameworks.

• Advance the Android design system to enable developers to work more swiftly and efficiently.

• Create and maintain tools that assist teams in generating Android code that adheres to design-system standards.

• Maintain high standards for code quality through technical design, code evaluations, testing, and sustainable implementation methods.

• Oversee the release lifecycle of the component library.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product teams to address integration issues.

• Produce clear documentation and provide guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Android engineering.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android architecture patterns, and modern development tools.

• Proven experience in developing libraries, frameworks, or reusable component systems.

• In-depth understanding of accessibility, performance, animation, and best practices for Android UI.

• Proven ability to independently design, implement, test, and deliver intricate technical solutions.

• Experience working closely with designers and cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
