This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the architecture, design, and execution of intricate, cross-functional Android projects from initial concept to launch.
• Direct the technical strategy for Android development, influencing the frameworks, tools, and patterns utilized throughout the organization.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering leaders to outline technical roadmaps that align with business objectives.
• Design modular, scalable Android codebases leveraging Jetpack libraries, Jetpack Compose, and contemporary development methodologies.
• Supervise API integration strategies, state management, and advanced performance optimization techniques.
• Conduct architectural evaluations to ensure that solutions satisfy performance, maintainability, and scalability criteria.
• Mentor and guide engineers across various teams, providing support on intricate technical problems and fostering professional growth.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines, testing automation, and release processes for optimal reliability.
• Keep abreast of trends in the Android ecosystem and advocate for technologies that provide our products with a competitive advantage.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Android development.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDKs, and advanced architectural patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Significant experience in leading technical strategy, architectural design, and implementation for enterprise-level applications.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming utilizing Kotlin coroutines, flows, and reactive streams.
• Extensive experience with Jetpack Compose, custom view creation, animations, and UI performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate RESTful APIs, manage intricate application states, and ensure effective data persistence.
• Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
