Senior Software Developer – Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop production-quality distributed systems.

• Take responsibility for technical architecture within your area (Platform or Data).

• Enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of essential systems.

• Collaborate closely with internal users, including engineers and data practitioners.

• Engage in operational responsibilities, including on-call duties as necessary.

• Manage projects from initial design through to production deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building production systems.

• Significant experience with distributed systems or data-centric systems.

• Proven track record of making system design decisions.

• Hands-on experience in operational roles (production support, incident management, debugging).

• Familiarity with creating systems utilized by other engineers or data teams.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Kubernetes) - Nice to Have.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes or developer tooling (Platform track) - Nice to Have.

• Proficiency in dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, or similar tools (Data track) - Nice to Have.

• Experience with observability, reliability engineering, or data quality systems - Nice to Have.

• Background working across both domains (not mandatory) - Nice to Have.
