This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and develop a self-service developer platform from scratch — including a software catalog, golden-path templates, and an enhanced developer portal experience utilizing Backstage.
• Establish and manage GitOps-driven continuous delivery using Argo CD or Flux CD, incorporating app-of-apps patterns, synchronization policies, and progressive rollout strategies.
• Construct and sustain automated workflow orchestration with Argo Workflows — covering CI pipelines, scheduled jobs, and event-driven automation.
• Design, operate, and scale production Kubernetes environments that support the underlying platform.
• Plan and execute saturation and load testing with k6 — creating reusable test templates and integrating them into the delivery pipeline.
• Enforce policies and manage admission control using Kyverno, which includes signed and verified container image policies.
• Develop and effectively utilize automation tools to quickly operate, manage, and scale both production and development environments.
• Innovate and implement new platform features while continually enhancing existing functionalities.
• Engage in regular customer and internal EverOps scrums.
• Offer operational support and assist with project deployments for customer environments.
• Over 5 years of professional experience as a Platform, Infrastructure, DevOps, CloudOps, or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Practical experience in building and customizing Backstage in a production environment — including software catalog modeling, custom plugins, software templates, and TechDocs (not limited to using an existing instance).
• Hands-on experience with Argo Workflows to orchestrate CI, batch, and event-driven automation at scale.
• Proven experience in implementing GitOps delivery using Argo CD — encompassing repository structure design, synchronization strategy, and rollout models.
• In-depth, hands-on experience with Kubernetes: you've designed, deployed, and operated production clusters alongside the services that run on them.
• Experienced in creating saturation and load tests with k6 — developing test suites and integrating them into CI, rather than executing a one-time script.
• Knowledgeable in enforcing policies with Kyverno (or similar admission controls) — including signed and verified container image enforcement.
• Strong practical experience with one or more programming languages: Golang, Python, TypeScript, Bash, Ruby, or Rust.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, designing, building, and managing highly-available cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with current best practices for Infrastructure as Code (using Terraform + Atlantis and/or CloudFormation).
• Experience in packaging and templating Kubernetes workloads with Helm and/or Kustomize.
• Proficient in containerization with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, DataDog, Splunk, or ELK.
• Familiar with automation tools like Ansible, Packer, etc.
• 100% remote work environment — We’ve been remote since Day 1!
• Unlimited Paid Time Off.
• Equity — If you demonstrate ownership of your work, you’ll become a true stakeholder in the company.
• 401K plan with company contributions.
• Company-sponsored healthcare.
• Competitive salary.
• Opportunities for professional growth through access to training and certification programs.
