Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as a Senior Developer for the team, providing guidance in the design, development, and deployment of contemporary Laravel-based applications.

• Oversee and direct the transition of legacy CodeIgniter applications to Laravel, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code or similar) to enhance development speed, elevate code quality, facilitate large-scale refactoring, create thorough unit and integration tests, and ensure system documentation is current.

• Mentor team members and encourage knowledge-sharing within the team.

• Produce clean, secure, and efficient code, placing significant importance on documentation and testing.

• Review and validate code submitted by colleagues to uphold high standards of code quality and consistency.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives via Microsoft Teams.

• Accurately track time and deliverables using internal tools and project management systems.

• Stay informed about security best practices and modern development methodologies.

• Exhibit a self-motivated attitude towards problem-solving, continuous learning, and professional advancement.

• Advocate for a user-centric approach and empathetic software design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional full-stack PHP development experience, with extensive knowledge of Laravel.

• Demonstrated experience in migrating applications from legacy frameworks (CodeIgniter) to Laravel.

• Exceptional proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, especially Vue.js.

• Strong grasp of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, and preprocessors like SASS/LESS.

• Skilled in using Git for version control and navigating Unix/Linux command-line environments.

• Experience in constructing and integrating RESTful APIs.

• Keen attention to detail and a user-focused mindset.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Capable of obtaining and maintaining government background clearance.
